MANILA, Philippines — The “Libreng Sakay,” or free journey, program on the Edsa Busway Carousel will proceed till July 31 although the Service Contracting Part 3 of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) will finish on June 30.
The LTFRB, which is implementing the venture, made the announcement in a press release issued on Wednesday.
Based on the assertion, 118 routes in Metro Manila underneath Part 3 had already ended underneath the 2022 Basic Appropriations Act (GAA) and 28 different routes will finish on June 30.
The prolonged free journey program will begin at 4:00 a.m. and finish at 11 p.m. every day, the LTFRB mentioned.
A complete of 203,639,626 passengers had benefited from this system since its first part. That part had a complete of 65,256 taking part public utility autos, 4,461 open routes, and a couple of,197 taking part companies and cooperatives nationwide.
Beneath this system, operators and drivers obtained advantages primarily based on the variety of journeys they made weekly, whatever the variety of passengers on these journeys.
