This new exhibit honors the work of search and rescue canine through the rescue and restoration efforts on and after 9/11. You’ll additionally uncover thehistory of search and rescue canine together with highlights of the canine that participated within the rescue and restoration efforts on 9/11. This exhibit may even show the winners from the “Salute to Search and Rescue Canine” artwork contest hosted by the museum in addition to function portraits by artist Ron Burns, creator of the espresso desk e-book, The Canine of Ron Burns: A Tribute to the Canine of 9/11. A free digital tour of the exhibit can be accessible on the Museum’s web site shortly after the exhibit’s opening.
